Helen
Peacock is a Certified Hellerwork Practitioner trained
in structural massage, movement re-education, voice dialogue,
and Craniosacral Therapy. Specialized training has included
the treatment of repetitive strain injuries and thoracic
outlet syndrome, and Hanna Somatic Education. Helen brings
a unique understanding to her work gained from a professional
background in ballet, contemporary dance and structural
engineering technology, as well as from raising her two
wonderful sons. In
addition to her private practice, Helen has provided
Hellerwork
to patients with long term chronic pain in Victoria Pain
Clinic residential programs. She enjoys recreational running,
Pilates and quiet times at home with her husband and a
good book. Her own experience with a back injury at the
end of her dance career, and the frustrations involved
in trying to find an effective treatment, have led Helen
to a deepened appreciation of Hellerwork and its holistic
approach. She finds it extremely rewarding to work with
clients as they participate in their own healing, and to
see clear results from the work.
"I feel honoured to witness my clients' growth and
changes, and especially enjoy seeing them become empowered
in their own health and well being. For many it is a revelation
to discover that changes can be made – thrilling and
exciting for us both."
